...I think its time we compiled a list,
Of places where we shouldn't go,
Now is not the time to lose your voice,
Everyone should have a choice.
And if you should ever fall,
You know I'd kiss you better.
I kept the letters that you sent me...
Close your eyes if you're scared,
My beliefs will make you drown.

You -- are you so scared that you're just gonna let it happen??

------
no boundaries. walk on through.
...and i'll just let it happen.

I don't know WHY.... but this is amazing...

I'm trying to think, I believe it's the contrast of colors... and how the environment is so rich and green, but she's so colorless... you're not only using pose and body language to convey emotion, but also color... it strikes you deeper, and that's why it's a new fav of mine :D

oh goodness! you have NO idea how thrilled that makes me to hear that the feel i'd intended in the coloration came through! at least, for someone! i'd intentionally desaturated all the color from the model and applied a slight tint on it while saturating all the surroundings to give just the effect you described and i could not be happier that it was seen. thank you so very much for your feedback and ya made my day with a fave :D :D

absolutely spectacular.
I thought she was a statue at first
she's sort of like a holy death among the life around her.

This reminds me of something out of an old movie or like a story book or something. I can't put it into words but there's such an atmosphere about it. I <3 this piece alot. Your photomanips, collages, and mixed media pieces are usually my favorite things from you. I like this tons though XD

I kind of figured you'd complain about your not being in them. You could always manipulate self-portraits and such. You've a very good manipulation of mood and atmosphere, both of which I find very visually appealing. So no, it isn't your subject matter changing that I like, it's your execution, totally. So you just hush. Take a good picture of yourself, tweak it a bit, and I'll probably be all "OMGEEZ THAT'S SO AWESOME!" lol

gah, i's sorries, i shouldn't have said that.
but, it's actually waywayway harder to manipulate yourself. i've tried :XD: ...and have it in my gallery even. but, there's this odd vanity feeling toward try to enhance/tweak/exaggerate, etc. something that belongs to you--whereas a stranger it's just given a stranger's frame a deeper feeling. filling them with what you want. somehow there's a block in the manipulation part when it's myself. it's like, i KNOW what i was feeling when the shot was taken; it's so hard to detach from that and artisitcally make it speak to an emtoion it to after the shot's been taken. plus this uncomfortable sense i get, anyways, of focusing that intensely on myself or yeah, i really can't put it to words. ha -- k's brain flew away.

Heh, I hardly see anything that vain in manipulating a photo of oneself. Now say you were like trying to make yourself look riduculously hot, and that'd be wrong, but if you're trying to make something really artistic or just visually pleasing, then I can't say there's anything wrong with that. If you ever got the urge to go through with something like that, I think it'd add a whole new dimension (sp?) to what you're doing. Still, that's just my take. You do what you want :).
