Artist's Comments

...i'm safe here in my room; unless I try to start again.

Memories [consume].
Like opening the wound;
I'm picking me apart again.
You all assume i'm safe here in my room
(unless I try to start again...)

I don't want the be the one the battles always choose.
Because inside, I realize that I'm the one confused.

I don't know what's worth fighting for,
Or why i have to scream.
I don't know why I instigate and say what I don't mean.
I don't know how I got this way--
I know it not alright.
So, I'm breaking the habit tonight.

Clutching my cure,
I tightly [lock] the door.
I try to catch my breath again.
I hurt much more than any time before.
I have no options left again.

I don't know what's worth fighting for,
Or why I have to scream...
But, now I have some clarity to show you what I mean.
I don't know how i got this way.
I'll never be alright.
....so I'm breaking the habit tonight.

oh thank you so so dearly.

i know that SO many people know the song, its lyrics, but it means so much to me that i could bring their meaning new life -- not just cliche accompaniment to a deviation.

and, i'm so SO glad that opening line left the impact it did. really -- it was my whole purpose in this submission.
thank you so much for your feedback -- always.

Oh my. This reminds me of so many past memories and issues with myself. The cutting, the self hatred, the loathing of ones self so much to the point of tearing myself apart, quite literally. =\ You hit the nail on the head with this one. The photos melded together to show the pain, and the lyrics to go along with them just smack me in the face. Great job honey. The point is made.
